Alex Trout is an Associate Research Professor at the Center for Child and Family Well-Being at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Trout has extensive experience working with programs and interventions for children, youth, and their families with or at-risk of emotional and behavioral disorders. After working in the public schools, and as an assistant professor in the department of special education at the University of Iowa, Dr. Trout has spent the past several years working on a research partnership with Boys Town to develop and evaluate programs to meet the aftercare needs of families and youth in out-of-home care. Dr. Trout's current research is funded by the Department of Education's Institute for Educational Sciences.
