Karen Hux is an Professor specializing in neurogenic communication disorders. She teaches courses in the areas of aphasia and traumatic brain injury. Her research interests concern the cognitive bases that underlie acquired language and communication challenges and the impact of traumatic brain injury on family, community, and educational systems. Dr. Hux has published numerous articles about aphasia and traumatic brain injury in professional journals and has conducted many national and regional workshops addressing issues of school reintegration following traumatic brain injury in children and adolescents. Also, she serves as co-coordinator of a local support group for survivors of traumatic brain injury. |
