Kevin Menefee, Ph.D., is a senior lecturer and the Intake Coordinator at the Barkley Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic.   He is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Nebraska, and specializes in developmental, cognitive, and academic assessment.   Dr. Menefee received his Ph.D. from UNL and completed an internship and externship at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.   As a school psychologist for the Omaha Public Schools, he served the OPS Orthopedic Handicaps clinic and the J.P. Lord School (for severe/profound/multihandicapped students), as well as schools with self-contained classrooms for behavior disordered, learning disabled, and mentally handicapped students.  

Dr. Menefee has also worked with the Boys Town National Research Hospital's Center for Childhood Deafness and Center for Abused Handicapped Children conducting assessments and interviews.   Dr. Menefee has been with the Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic since 1991, where he co-teaches a class in counseling and behavior management techniques for speech pathologists, and participates in clinical teaching through multidisciplinary team evaluations.   He also maintains a part-time private practice, specializing in emotional, behavioral, and learning problems of pre-adolescent children, and has contracted with a private child and adolescent psychiatric hospital and with programs of the Department of Health and Human Services to conduct evaluations.  

Dr. Menefee is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Nebraska Psychological Association, and the National Association of School Psychologists.
