Graduate Certificate in Autism and Severe Disabilities

The graduate certificate program is designed to enhance the professional skills, improve marketability and address the shortage for qualified personnel working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Severe Disabilities.  This efficient program of study can be completed online in 12-24 months. Through focused coursework that includes assessment, program planning and teaching methods, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to effectively work with these students who have unique needs. Practitioners in special education, early childhood education, speech-language pathology, educational psychology, school administration or other related majors may apply for this non-degree, graduate certificate in autism/severe disabilities. In addition, professionals who are currently employed and participating on educational teams for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and Severe Disabilities are also qualified to apply.  This certificate is not a teaching endorsement or teaching certificate.
