Mimi Mann serves students, faculty, and staff at the Barkley Memorial Center as an Information Technology Associate. She is the webmaster for the departmental website. Mimi has found that she loves to work with web page development and Blackboard and Breeze and likes nothing better than working with students, faculty and staff as they seek to have a web presence.  She is also responsible for the collection of data which shows student competencies in their various programs of study.

As the Resource Center Supervisor, she works together with her caring and knowledgeable student staff to provide therapy materials and other resources for student clincians as well as oversee the computer lap in that same area.

Mimi came to Barkley from Career Services on city campus, where she worked as a Resource Specialist for 7 years. She graduated from UNL with an elementary education degree and later worked at UNL as a sign language interpreter. That position even led her into football meetings and locker rooms during the 5 years she worked with a UNL football player who was deaf. 

What Mimi likes best about working at Barkley is her ability to work within a small community of committed and caring students, faculty and staff. The environment is one of encouragement and nurturing of each individual's most special talents. Don't hesitate to drop by Mimi's office, if you ever need her assistance with web or technology issues. Her regular hours are weekdays from 7:15 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
