Student Resources

Although the number of educational websites that support Native American education is somewhat limited, I found a variety of source that may help you as a student learn in a school setting today. Some of these sites are also listed for educators whom are seeking to better the lives and education of their students. The following list is comprised these sites.

The Center for Indian Education whose purpose is to "serve as a major research and resource center in the field of Indian Education and related fields at the local, state, and national levels..." appears to be an excellent resource for teachers who have Native American learners in their classroom. They are devoted to reasearch supporting Indian Education and this is available on their website. The site also provide an extensive amount of information related to the journal which they publish, including access to past articles that were written.

As with many students in America, there is often an unmet need for financial support to complete higher education. The American Indian College Fund is dedicated to raising support for American Indians who have this need. The website is a staring point for finding scholarships or other financial support if this is you.
