06 Mar 2014

Barbara LaCost, associate professor in the Department of Educational Administration at UNL, is a recipient of the 2014 Distinguished Fellow Award from the National Education Finance Conference (NEFC).  Recipients of the Fellow Award are selected in recognition of exemplary research, practice, and policy advancement in both the K-12 and higher education environments. LaCost will be recognized at the NEFC Annual Conference, April 23-25 in Louisville, KY.

“EDAD is very pleased that Dr. LaCost has earned this distinction,” said Brent Cejda, department chair. “Barbara’s research has focused on the financing of public education, both P-12 and higher education, and she most certainly has advanced policy by identifying the key issues and priorities during a time of scarce resources. Our faculty and students are proud of her work and this well-deserved accomplishment.”
