Research Support in CEHS

Nebraska Evaluation and Research (NEAR)

The Nebraska Evaluation and Research (NEAR) Center's purpose is to promote sound statistical, measurement, and research (e.g., Quantitative, Qualitative, and Mixed Methods) methodology. In addition the Center serves as a hands-on training program for graduate students in the Quantitative, Qualitative, & Psychometric Methods (QQPM) program.

Office of Qualitative and Mixed Method Research (OQMMR)

The objectives of the office are to: promote the use of qualitative and mixed methods research; provide expertise for proposals and funded research projects; and offer support for faculty and, to a limited extent, for graduate students in the College of Education and Human Sciences, who are designing and conducting qualitative and mixed methods studies.

The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools (CYFS)

The mission of the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools is to advance the conduct of high quality interdisciplinary research to promote the intellectual, behavioral, and social-emotional development and functioning of individuals across educational, familial, and community contexts.

Statistics and Research Methodology (SRM)

The Statistics and Research Methodology Unit provides proposal development and post-award support in the conceptualization of the research design and methodology and the selection and execution of data analyses. Unit personnel are experienced statisticians who specialize in experimental, quasi-experimental, and correlational design methodology; measurement; and cross-sectional, longitudinal, and correlational data analytic approaches (e.g., regression, basic analyses of variance, structural equation modeling, growth modeling, hierarchical linear modeling). Unit personnel are available to assist faculty affiliates throughout grant proposal development and writing and with data analysis after the grant is funded.
