Jordan Went B.S., Family & Consumer Sciences Education, 2011

Teacher, Centennial Public Schools, Utica, NE

Jordan was the Outstanding FCS Education major within the department of Child, Youth & Family Studies for 2011 and was very involved in campus life.

She is now teaching FCS education at Centennial Public Schools in Utica, NE. Utica is a small school community, where Went says she has small class sizes and wonderful administrative support. She says the most valuable experiences in her undergraduate education were student teaching as well as the Methods & Curriculum classes she took for her degree. Went also said she valued the networking and relationships with her peers and views that as an added, lifelong benefit of the program.

In the future Jordan hopes to build up her Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) program and work on a master's degree in school counseling and guidance.
