How to Apply to a distance program in the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies:To apply you must send several items to (1) the Office of Graduate Studies, and three additional items to (2) the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies.
Application Deadlines:
Although applications will be considered on a continuing basis, preferred deadlines for consideration by the CYAF Graduate Committee are:
Fall Semester admittance - June 1
Spring Semester admittance -
October 1
Summer Semester admittance -
January 15
Applicants will not be considered unless their files are totally complete. In order to ensure that materials will reach the Department, it is suggested that materials be submitted to the Graduate College by:
Fall Semester - May 1
Spring Semester - September 1
Summer Semester - December 15

When all materials are
received the graduate committee will act upon your request for admission
into the program. It may take 1-3 months to process your application
and notify you.
This delay should not inconvenience you too much because you can begin classes three times during the year: August/September, January/February, or June/July.
