Application Deadlines:

Please note: Our application management system, GAMES will not accept new applications from late December through sometime the first week of January. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Applicants will not be considered unless their files are totally complete, although aplications will be considered on a continuing basis. In order to ensure that materials will reach the Department, it is suggested that materials be uploaded into GAMES by:
Spring Semester - September 1
Summer Semester - December 15
Fall Semester - May 1

Application Process:
Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the University's requirements for admission and fill out the online application form of the Office of Graduate Studies. After completing the form you will soon receive an NUID that allows you to sign in to myRED, the University's online personal records system where you can view a list of application materials received or still needed by the Office of Graduate Studies.

Step 2: Within 24 business hours of receiving your NUID from the University, you will receive a welcome email message asking you to login to GAMES (Graduate Admissions Management and Evaluation System) and provide additional materials and information required by your department. GAMES is a secure, web-based system that allows you to provide materials online. You will be asked to provide basic information including:

*Be sure to review how to send your transcripts and academic records to the Office of Graduate Studies. Details regarding how to send your transcripts can be found at Application Requirements. You can track these application requirements on MyRED.

Upload documents into GAMES:
*3 Letters of Recommendation
*Professional Statement of Goals
*Resume

Hard copies required by the Office of Graduate Studies:
*1 OFFICIAL transcript of ALL college work - after being admitted into the program.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
*It is important to realize myRED reflects your application status at the university level. Though materials required by Graduate Studies may be complete, this does not mean your application is complete as far as department requirements are concerned.
*You must submit application materials on-line through GAMES. Be sure to finalize and click "Submit" (application status on navigation bar) your application when you are satisfied with all materials provided.
*Reference letter writers will be contacted automatically through GAMES and will be able to electronically upload their letters through a secure web link. There is no need to have them send a hard copy.
*GAMES reflects your application status at the department level. After you have provided all materials required by the department and finalize your application, GAMES will also be a valuable source of information on your application's status.

Questions regarding the application process, please contact the department at (402) 472-2957 or email Kelsey Sims.
