In accordance with the U.S. Department of Education's new regulation (34 C.F.R.ยง 600.9) regarding legal authorization to provide postsecondary education through distance or correspondence education in a state in which it is not physically located or in which it is otherwise subject to State jurisdiction as determined by the state, the University of Nebraska monitors developments in state laws in every state. Step I: Application to the Office of Graduate Studies

Needed for completion of the Graduate Studies application:

  1. Application fee
  2. One official copy of college/university transcripts
  3. Demonstrate English proficiency (if your native language is not English) by providing at least one of the following:
         •   paper-based TOEFL(PBT) score of at least 550
         •   internet-based TOEFL(IBT) score of at least 79
         •   International English Language Testing System(IELTS) score of at least 6.0

*Please allow 7-10 days for your Graduate Studies online application to reach the department.
