Architecture Education
Degrees: Ph. D., Ed. D.
The Doctoral Specialization in Educational Leadership and Higher Education provides academic preparation and professional development for those individuals whose career path is directed toward leadership in higher education and who will serve as leaders for public and private institutions of higher education. The program is especially attractive to those whose career path includes mid-management or advanced positions in community colleges, four-year colleges and universities.
The program focuses on the need to prepare educational leaders for the state and nation, but also considers the need for leaders in the global community.
The Department offers a course of study leading to Ph.D.or Ed.D. degrees. Students seeking either of these degrees major in Education Studies. Under this broad major, there are two areas of specialization:
Within the ELHE degree specialization, students may focus in the following areas:
- General Post Secondary Administration
- Community College Administration
- Aviation Education
- Law and Post Secondary Education
- Human Resource Development
In addition, the Department partners with the University of Nebraska's College of Architecture to offer a unique doctoral degree program in the area of Architecture Education. Students interested in this program should first contact the College of Architecture.
