Benefits and Finance
Human Resources is the place to go for information regarding New Employee Orientation, the Employee and Dependent Scholarship program, health insurance, and other resources and discounts offered by UNL programs, departments, and outside venders. Your benefits including health and dental insurance and much, much more.
Firefly is the University's portal to your paycheck information and the benefits you are participating in such as health and life insurance. If you participate in the health care reimbursement program, you can find claim forms for reimbursement and keep track of your claim history.
The CEHS Business Team provides support for the financial and human resource needs of the College. You will find business forms and information for request leaves, travel, grant purchases, and more.
The CEHS Research Office is here to provide information and services related to the administration of the College's research mission.
Parking
Parking on the UNL campus is strictly monitored by the Office of Parking and Transit Services. Visit their site to learn about the parking permits available to you. You can also learn about the shuttle options on City Campus and between campuses.
Free city bus permits and issued to faculty and staff upon request. Checkout the StarTran site for route schedules and maps.
Technology and Media Support
Media support is provided by the College's Design Center. The Design Centerprovides excellent photography, video, and graphic design services in addition to copying and other media related services for the College and the University. The are located at 122 Henzlik Hall and can be reached at 2-2258.
Informational and instructional technology support is provided by both UNL and CEHS. UNL Information Services (IS)provides support to the University through a help desk (2-3970), computer shop, and equipment repairs. In addition, IS is responsible for email services, networking, Blackboard, and training.
Support at the College level is provided by technology support personnel located in Barkley Center, Home Economics building, and Mabel Lee Hall. Support is provided for technology equipment in College labs, classrooms, and offices. You can request help through the CEHS Web Help Desk or call 2-0096.
It is important to sign up for an email account with the University. You will find email is a primary communication tool between you and your colleagues in the College and University.
Maintenance, Security and Emergencies
The Facilities Management and Planning web site provides information regarding custodial services, building maintenance, and recycling on campus. If you need to contact the custodial staff, call 2-3175. If you need to report a problem related to your building, contact the Building Maintenance Report person for your building.
The UNL Police Department are responsible for addressing the University's security and safety issues. Their number is 472- 3555.

Personal and Professional Support
The CEHS Staff Council provides a variety of professional development activities each year, resource information, as well as serves as a voice to the Dean and the College.
The University of Nebraska Office Professionals Association (UNOPA) provides professional growth opportunities and promotes high professional standards for educational office professionals with the University of Nebraska.
The University Association for Administrative Development (UAAD) provides programs, activities, and communication that promotes professional development, demeanor, and an inclusive environment to help professional/managerial employees succeed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The University's Employee Assistance Program is a confidential service offered to UNL employees and their immediate family members at no charge. Consultation and counseling are available to help faculty and staff with personal or work related problems that can affect general well being, work performance, or academic performance.
Identification Cards
You will need a University of Nebraska NCard Identification card. The NCard office is located in the City Campus Union. The NCard is used for identification, security, and is also tied to other services like the Campus Rec Center.
After Work
Campus Recreation offers memberships for faculty and staff. There are campus rec facilities on both the city and east campuses.
The Husker Athletic Ticket Office can provide you with information about event schedules and how to obtain tickets for athletic events.
The Lied Center for the Performing Arts brings world class performances to our very own back yard.
Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery features both an outstanding permanent collection and touring exhibits.
Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery is a part of our Department of Textiles, Clothing and Design and the only gallery in the region devoted to textile-based art works.
The International Quilt Study Center and Museum is many things. First, it is a treasure house of quilts from many countries and centuries. It has an architecturally stunning new museum in which its curators mount superb exhibitions, and a state-of-the-art digital gallery for visitors.
