refereed quarterly journal devoted to the publication of original research
and scholarly investigations on the roles of women in educational leadership.
The journal is committed to setting the standard for scholarship germane
to gender issues in educational organizations at all levels, from public
and private schools to universities and government. The content of the

policy, politics, communications, law, finance, and management, as these
exemplify the influences women exert and have exerted on educational
practices and policies. A range of theoretical and methodological approaches
is included, as are invited articles, research announcements, and technical
columns. The journal is designed to serve as the main national forum
for intellectual exchange on women in education.
