TCD's visiting scholar Professor Qin De Qing of Qingdao University, Qingdao, China is currently showing new work developed during her TCD residency, at the Rotunda Gallery in UNL's city campus Union. "Gina's" experimental manipulations of fabric using lustrous metallic finishes and tie-dye techniques create ethereal textile forms that evoke sea life, and that appear fragile yet luminous. Gina's work is informed by Taoist philosophy and sensibility vis-a-vis the interrelationship of form and counterform, figure and ground, what is and what is not. Floating Fabric continues through June 3.
