AND Accredited The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Didactic Program in Dietetics is currently granted accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 312-899-0040, Ext. 5400. ACEND is the only accrediting agency for dietetics education recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE). This underscores the high quality of our program.

High AND Exam Success 95% of our Dietetics students pass the AND exam on the first try - one of the highest success rates in the country!

AND Internship Accreditation The post-baccalaureate Dietetic Internship program is accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. An accredited internship opens the door to potential career success in the future.

Practicums & Experience A number of opportunities exist for Restaurant/Foodservice Management students including our partnership with community colleges to meet Culinary Arts requirements for the Culinary Science program. These hands-on learning experiences make your classes more enjoyable and relevant to the careers you will pursue.


Instruction in Japanese Martial Arts is offered through the department's Jinbukan Dojo organization.

Study Tours Opportunities exist both here and abroad. Tours have included ConAgra in Omaha, DisneyWorld, and trips to Switzerland. Students and potential employers agree these horizon-expanding trips are great!
