Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Programs

Post bac Student

You've discovered your interests, your strengths, and your talent. Now you've decided to take your talent further.

You can further your talent by earning an initial teacher certification as part of a formal graduate program.

Subject areas in which post baccalaureate certification can be earned have distinct requirements that meet UNL's program and/or the State of Nebraska certification requirements. The subject areas available are:

  • Art Education (Grades K-12)
  • Business Education (Grades 7-12)
  • Industrial Technology Education (Grades 7-12)
  • Math Education (Grades 7-12)
  • Modern Foreign Language Education (Grades 7-12)
  • Science Education (Grades 7-12)
  • Special Education (various areas and levels)
  • Family and Consumer Science (Grades 7 – 12)
  • Inclusive Early Childhood Education (Birth - Grade 3)
  • Elementary Education (Grades K-6)

Coursework includes opportunities to infuse theory and practice considering the nature of learners, learning, teachers and teaching, while embracing the stated learning outcomes for the teacher education programs.
