The University of Nebraska-Lincoln special education program offers a high-quality, evidence-based program leading to a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in special education.  The undergraduate program has a primary responsibility for preparing competent, caring teachers for students with special needs for grades K-6 or 7-12, and addresses the minimum requirements for a teaching endorsement in special education from the Nebraska Department of Education.  The special education program is highly regarded nationally for the quality of its teaching, research, and service to the field of special education.
