Barkley Center celebrates 40 years

The campus community and public is invited to attend an open house from 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 8 to help celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Barkley Memorial Center on East Campus. The Barkley Center is home to the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders. 

Come tour the Barkley Memorial Center and learn about program and building changes over the last 40 years. Learn about current programs, clinical services and research being conducted by students and faculty. Informational materials and refreshments will be available.

The Barkley Memorial Center houses the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders in the College of Education and Human Sciences. Programs hosted in the Barkley Center include audiology, speech-language pathology and special education. The Barkley Center is also home to the Barkley Speech Language Hearing Clinic, HearU Nebraska and the Lion’s Club and Sertoma Club hearing aid banks.
