Congratulations to Matt Lambert for Accomplishments

08 Dec 2015     By Dr. Sherri Jones

1.  Matt has been awarded a Fulbright Specialist Grant, and will spend the month of April at the University of Eastern Finland and the University of Jyväskylä. While in Finland, he will develop curriculum in measurement science and research design, provide short courses to doctoral students in the educational and behavioral sciences, and consult with scientists within the LINE (Learning in Interactive Environments) research consortium. A short-term goal of this grant is to help guide and refine early efforts by LINE researchers to assess learning environments and plan rigorous studies to evaluate different teaching and learning strategies. A more long-term goal of this grant is to help universities in Finland build greater capacity for training highly qualified doctoral students in educational sciences.

2.  Matt has partnered with the Lincoln chapter of Coach Osborne’s TeamMates mentoring program to study and improve their mentor recruitment processes. The Woods Charitable Fund awarded Dr. Lambert and the TeamMates program a one-year $15,000 grant to study the topic.

3.  Matt has recently become an associate editor of ASHA’s school-focused journal, Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools. He will serve as an associate editor until 2019.
