Four speech-language pathology and audiology graduate open houses scheduled for 2016-17

24 Oct 2016

The first of four open houses for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s graduate programs in speech-language pathology and audiology is slated for Friday, Nov. 4, at the Barkley Memorial Center.

The open house begins at 9 a.m., and will allow prospective graduate students to meet current students and faculty, tour the Barkley Memorial Center and the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic, and visit labs. Students will also have the opportunity to hold one-on-one advising appointments with faculty members specializing in a particular area of interest. The application process and funding opportunities will also be discussed.

The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders will hold four speech-language pathology and audiology open houses this academic year – two in the fall semester and two in the spring. In addition to the Nov. 4 event, open houses will also be held Dec. 2, March 31 and April 7.

Anyone interested in attending one of the upcoming open house events is encouraged to complete the online registration form at least three days prior to the event. The registration form can be found at go.unl.edu/openhouse-reg.

More information, including a schedule for the open houses, can be found at go.unl.edu/openhouses. Anyone who has questions should contact Graduate Secretary and Admissions Coordinator Jill England at jill.england@unl.edu or 402-472-2141.
