Study Tours and Internships
You'll have the opportunity to travel home and abroad. Recent trips included New York City, London and Paris.

Students are required to participate in a departmental study tour or complete an internship to meet degree requirements. Students in the department may travel to New York to meet with fashion and accessory designers, designer alumnae and other professionals in the fashion field. Or students may choose to participate in an overseas study tour to explore international influences on fashion and dress, historic costume and industry trends.

Students have completed internships in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, Omaha and elsewhere. This supervised individual professional experience helps to prepare students for successful careers in the global textile and apparel industries. Recently, students have interned with Vera Wang and Tahari, among others.
