Journalism Internships
| Students gain a real world perspective and
an opportunity to explore career options through an internship experience.
During their undergraduate program students are required to complete
an internship or participate in a departmental study tour. In recent
years students have held internships at such venues as Vera Wang, Tahari,
J.C. Penney's, Target, Women's Wear Daily, Fragments, Younker's, Etc.
a division of Carlisle Knits, the Avenue, suburban Bridal of Omaha,
and Sassi's Bridal of Lincoln. TCD students earn high praise from on site directors for their creative problem solving abilities, their management and organizational skills and the leadership abilities. Further internship opportunities are available with the departmental textile and clothing collections, and the university theatre department can provide additional internship experiences. |
