Challenging Undergraduate Program
The merchandising option prepares students for careers at both the manufacturing and retail levels of the textile and apparel industry. The program emphasizes textiles, basic design and provides understanding of fashion theory, as well as basic skills and techniques in production and distribution of textiles and apparel in the global society. Students also receive a minor in marketing from UNL's College of Business Administration. This collaboration between the two colleges requires that students maintain a 2.5 GPA due to minor in CBA. Upon graduation, students are prepared for careers in product development, promotion, visual merchandising and the buying and selling of textiles and apparel products.
