The local community of Paxton recently combined their efforts to fund-raise over $200,000 for a new public library facility.

The Paxton Public Library may be accessed on site through its online catalogue. Its book collection is organized into adult fiction, adult nonfiction, western series, juvenile literature, children’s literature, and local literature.

The Paxton Public Library has numerous birth, death, and marriage records stored in its facility. These newspaper clippings are used mostly for genealogical studies but are available for general patron research.
Current newspapers are available from state and national publications.
Goodall City Library (Ogallala, NE)
The Goodall City Library is named after Mrs. Clarice Goodall, who donated $50,000 to collect memorials and gifts for the library. This donated has since grown by other community donations.

The Goodall City Library catalogue may be accessed through its online catalogue found through its website. A computer lab with internet access is also available at the library for patron use.
The library is organized into sections of adult fiction, adult nonfiction, New York Times Bestsellers, audio books, regional and state topics, juvenile biographies, and children’s literature.

The library has books on the history of surrounding Nebraska counties, particularly books pertaining to the Wild West, Buffalo Bill Cody, and Lincoln County history.
Primary Materials Available
Scrapbooks have been donated by local community members. They consist of county and local fairs, centennial celebrations, marriage and death records, and pictures of Ogallala and surrounding communities. These scrapbooks contain materials that span from the early 1900s to the present.
Current national, state, and local newspapers are available.
