Dipra Jha, assistant professor of practice in the Hospitality, Restaraunt and Tourism Management program, was invited to address members of the Nebraska City tourism group Destination Development Jan. 28 in Nebraska City. The workshop was a brainstorming session to develop strategies for the future of tourism in the southeast Nebraska community.
“The group was able to refine a vision statement which had been developed five years ago around three main themes which resonate throughout Nebraska City...sustainability, innovation, and culture,” said Dipra Jha.
Jha is working with Nebraska City officials to help them leverage their assets as a "boutique destination" for tourism. The Nebraska City News Press published a story on the event featuring comments from Jha.
