I loved all that campus life had to offer. I enjoyed taking great courses from amazing professors and all of the experiences the curriculum provided for me to experience different educational settings throughout my undergraduate program.
I am completing my 33rd year as a high school science educator. I have had the good fortune to work in leadership positions in the buildings and districts in which I have taught. I have also been active with other science educators across the state in various professional capacities, both as a participant and as an instructor.
The mentoring and instruction I received at UNL set me up to create an environment in my own classroom where, hopefully, students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Take advantage of every opportunity you can to help yourself become a more well-rounded person. It will help you in immeasurable ways to develop strong relationships with students, peers, and supervisors throughout your teaching career.
