Secondary Math Education

Lincoln, NE

Graduating May 2016! Left the Ambassador program to student teach.

What are your post-graduation plans? Where will you be working?

After I graduate, I hope to teach middle schoolers math! I would love to teach in Lincoln Public Schools but will go wherever the wind takes me.

What were/are your involvements on the UNL campus?

Apart from being a CEHS Student Ambassador, I was a clarinet section leader in the Cornhusker Marching Band and  member of the UNL campus band.

What impact did being a CEHS Student Ambassador have on your current endeavors?

Being an Ambassador has prepared me for everything I am encountering this semester while student teaching. As an Ambassador, I learned how to interview, balance my schedule, represent and organization, speak with students and families,  and have fun while doing it all. The Ambassador program did so much more for me than I could have ever done for the program!

What was/is the best thing about being a Husker?

Being a Husker means being part of a big campus with a small town feel. The opportunities are endless but it’s extremely easy to get involved and feel like campus is home. I will always be proud to be a Husker alumnus.
