Kari Stempson provides overall support to the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders in the area of undergraduate and graduate student processes and curriculum.

She is responsible for textbook ordering, grade processing, student registration questions and problem solving, while assisting with undergraduate and graduate application processing and paperwork. She also assists the department chair, graduate chair and scholarship and awards committee with graduate assistantship/fellowship process and notifications. Other responsibilities include department Blackboard page development and maintenance, and staff support for faculty unit.


Kari graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Her hours are Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
