CEHS giving challenge runs through Dec. 18

17 Nov 2020

In conjunction with UNL’s Combined Campaign for Health and Human Services that kicked off Monday, the CEHS Staff Council is launching the #CEHSgives social media challenge to encourage faculty and staff across the college to give back as they choose.

The goal for the #CEHSgives challenge, which runs Nov. 16 through Dec. 18, is for each faculty and staff member in the college to find a cause or organization they are passionate about, and give in a way that works best for them. Giving can be through monetary donations, volunteering their time, or donating physical items. Anyone wishing to give a monetary donation is encouraged to do so through the UNL Combined Campaign at https://go.unl.edu/combined

Participants are asked to take a selfie showing how they are giving, and share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram including a mention of the organization who benefitted from their giving. Posts should also use the hashtag #CEHSgives, and tag @UNL_CEHS on Twitter or Instagram, or UNLCEHS on Facebook.

Each person who shares a selfie will be entered into a prize drawing to win either wireless headphones or an insulated beverage holder/tumbler. Individuals who do not have a social media account, or who do not wish to share their selfie on their personal social media, may participate by submitting a photo to cehssocial@unl.edu with the information about their giving.

All photos will be compiled to be shared as a collage at the end of the #CEHSgives challenge showing the impact individuals in CEHS made in terms of number of participants and number of organizations who benefitted from the giving.

Questions about the #CEHSgives challenge may be directed to Kelcey Buck at kbuck2@unl.edu, while questions regarding UNL’s Combined Campaign may go to Madison Woltemath at madisonwoltemath@unl.edu.
