CEHS Staff Council awards Jolene Walker with Staff Star award

CEHS Staff Council congratulates Jolene Walker, CEHS Staff Star Award recipient.  

Jolene is the program coordinator for Nebraska Gateway to Nutrigenomics (NGN) in Nutrition and Health Sciences.  Some of the things Jolene’s nominator shared about her are:

• Jolene is a jack of all trades who continues to go beyond the call of duty in everything she gets involved with.

• She has single-handedly created the NGN website, organizes the NGN seminar series and annual NGN retreats (including tracking down and flying in speakers from all over the country), and has been instrumental in putting together budgets for large scale grant applications such as COBRE and T32 predoctoral training grants.
• Jolene is self-sufficient, dependable, and there is an outstanding quality in her work, especially considering she squeezes all this effort into a part time position.

So, if you get a chance, stop by room 316 in Ruth Leverton Hall to congratulate Jolene. She is very deserving of this award!
