25 Jan 2021

The College of Education and Human Sciences has announced the winners of the #CEHSgives social media challenge, which encouraged faculty and staff across the college to give back.

  • Tricia Gray, assistant professor of practice, Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education
  • Ted Hamann, professor, Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education
  • Jeffrey Rudy, professor of practice, Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences
  • Emily Slattery, project associate, Pixel lab
  • Yingying Wang, assistant professor, Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders
  • Yan Xia, professor, Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies

The goal of the #CEHSgives challenge, which ran from Nov. 16 through Dec. 18, 2020, was for each faculty and staff member in the college to find a cause or organization they are passionate about, and give in a way that works best for them. Giving could be through monetary donations, volunteering their time, or donating physical items.

Participants were asked to take a selfie showing how they gave, and share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram including a mention of the organization who benefitted from their giving.

Each person who shared a selfie was entered into a prize drawing to win either wireless headphones or an insulated beverage holder/tumbler.

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who participated!
