DeLaRosa earns Fulbright ETA

Julia DeLaRosa, a secondary education Spanish major in Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education, is one of five UNL students to earn a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship grant for 2015-16. The senior from Waco, Texas, who is graduating from CEHS with high distinction in May, will travel to Brazil for her ETA. Previously she has had study abroad experiences in Mexico, Costa Rica and Spain. Her activities at UNL include being an international student mentor, UNL Cultural Ambassador, and English tutor for Catholic Social Services.

While in Brazil, DeLaRosa will use her interest and knowledge in music to engage outside the classroom. She plans to pursue a master's degree in foreign language education to teach Spanish, Portuguese or English Language Learners at the secondary level.
