Leverton Art Project

Leverton Art Project

19 Sep 2012

A new mural will soon be completed in Ruth Leverton Hall on East Campus. The mural wraps around the whole first floor of Leverton in living color. It was drawn and painted freehand, which has been of great interest to NHS faculty, staff and students. People in the building are interested in the daily progress of the mural, and ask many questions of the artist, who is now accustomed to it. Lincoln-based Mural Mural Graphics designed the project.

The overall theme of the Mural is health and well-being, and water, as an essential nutrient, figures prominently through the entire mural. Sections of the mural depict unprocessed food (fresh fruit, vegetables, grain, etc.), scientific images associated with nutrition, and physical activity in many forms. It is beautiful and thought-provoking!
