Marcelo Suárez-Orozco will offer a lecture titled "Rethinking Immigration & Education in the Age of Global Vertigo" February 6, 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Union Ballroom, UNL City Union.

Suárez-Orozco is the Courtney Sale Ross University Professor of Globalization and Education in New York University and the author of numerous award-winning books, edited volumes, scholarly essays and journal articles focused on mass migration and education. His research spans three decades and is grounded in conceptual and empirical problems within cultural psychology and psychological anthropology.

Suárez-Orozco was inducted into the National Association of Education in 2004 and received Mexico's higher honor to a foreign national.

Suárez-Orozco lectures widely throughout the world to governmental bodies and institutions and his basic research is regularly featured in global media outlets.
