"The University of Nebraska launches new research trying to find out why some toddlers simply won't doze off.

Tori Molfese , UNL chancellor of child youth studies, said toddlers should be getting about 12 hours of sleep, but said some parents just can't figure out how to get that done.
“It’s one of the natural things parents have questions about,” Molfese said.

Molfese and Kathy Rudasill are part of a University study to identify links between a child's sleeping habits and their behavior regulations. They said there is very little research following a toddler's sleep across time and said this study will change a lot of household routines."
