NHS students earn awards at Experimental Biology 2014 scientific meeting

Two NHS students have earned awards for their research abstracts submitted for the Experimental Biology 2014 scientific meeting, which will be held April 26-30 in San Diego, CA. Meshail Okla was awarded for an abstract in the category of energy and macronutrient metabolism, and Inhae Kang was awarded in the category of phenolic compounds and human research. Both students will be present their research at the conference.

Experimental Biology is the biggest international meeting held by the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) in cooperation with five other scientific societies. ASN has several Research Interest Sessions (RIS) based on areas of nutrition research. As an annual event, each RIS group selects outstanding research abstracts submitted by graduate students.
