Qiaozhu Su, NHS, presents next NGN Seminar Talk

07 Dec 2012

Qiaozhu Su’s talk entitled, “Cellular stress signaling in hepatic very low density lipoprotein metabolism and insulin resistance,” will be given at noon on Wednesday, December 12, in the Columbine/Goldenrod room in the Nebraska East Union. A brown bag lunch with beverages and dessert will be provided. The talk is sponsored by the Nebraska Gateway to Nutrigenomics.

Su joined the Department of Nutrition Health Sciences and the NGN in August of 2012 as a new Assistant Professor.  She has a strong research background on energy metabolism, pathophysiology of molecular and cellular stress singling on the onset of obesity and type-2 diabetes. Her research interests include studying how different lipid species and nutrient compositions are causally linked to the development of metabolic diseases, particularly obesity and diabetes, in the genetic or dietary intervention animal models by applying proteomic and lipidomic approaches.

All interested faculty, postdoctorates, students, and staff are invited to attend this NGN seminar.
