Dr. Jie Zhang and fifteen students are visiting the Department of Child, Youth, and Family Studies from East China Normal University in Shanghai. Dr. Michelle Rupiper is leading a program of study for the students that describes the early childhood education practices in the United States, and explains the principles of early childhood education. Over the fall break, Dean Kostelnik and Beth Doll hosted the group on a cultural tour of Nebraska with visits to the Stuhr Museum in Grand Island, the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument, the Omaha Zoo, among many other places. Several other members of the faculty and staff are assisting with the visit. Dr. Zhang and her students are staying in Selleck Hall and working on East Campus, and so you  may have many opportunities to visit with them about their interests and their experiences. They are particularly interested in the research that is occurring within the College of Education and Human Sciences. They will be leaving Lincoln to return to Shanghai early on October 30.
