Panel: Pathway to Success

CEHS students are invited to participate in a lunchtime panel discussion with three college alumni. The alumni panelists will discuss inclusivity in the workplace and offer tips to students to help them reach their career goals. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the discussion moderated by CEHS Career Coaches Darwin Archie and Mollie Rappl. The event is part of the campus wide Multicultural Homecoming at Nebraska celebration.

Panelists: 

    • Alisha Tesfalem is a Member Engager at Color of Change, the largest online racial justice organization in the country. She is an experienced professional with demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Tesfalem earned her master of arts in education administration from the Department of Educational Administration at Nebraska.  
    • April Turner is a school psychologist in Baltimore City Public Schools. Dr. Turner’s professional interests include social justice, urban school psychology, early career mentorship and supervision. She is an alum of the Department of Educational Psychology at Nebraska. 
    • Christian Sypavongsay is Prestige Lead Concierge at The Palazzo at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is an experienced young professional with a demonstrated history of working in a large-scale, luxury hospitality industry. Sypavogsay is an alum of Nebraska’s Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management Program.
