Our Mission

The Class, Equity, and Advocacy Research (CLEAR) team conducts research that promotes more equitable systems in mental healthcare and education. We center our work on the experiences of individuals and communities that have been historically minoritized and oppressed, and examine the ways systems inhibit and/or facilitate their well-being. We primarily focus on issues of social class, economic marginalization, and sexual and gender diversity in higher education and counseling. We are a group of counseling psychology faculty and students who are invested in the healing of our communities.

CLEAR is led by Mun Yuk Chin, Ph.D.

*Dr. Chin is accepting doctoral students for Fall 2024-2025. For more information about applying to our Counseling Psychology program, click here
