Faculty holding an ARD appointment must have an approved project that is connected to NIFA priorities (go to http://ard.unl.edu/hatch-multistate-funding for Hatch project guidelines, description of the process for review and approval, and necessary forms). The College of Education and Human Sciences Associate Dean for Research directs the ARD process within the College. Proposals must complete a departmental peer review process as well as a collegiate review process. The departmental review is internal to the department; the College review panel should reflect faculty external to the College, one departmental representative, and a statistician or methodologist.
