Description: non-pay appointment in an academic department restricted to individuals holding non-temporary employment status in another department/unit of the University of Nebraska. This means anyone who currently holds an appointment in any department or unit of the NUSystem, including: UNL, UNO, UNK, UNMC, the Research and Extension Centers, or any other off-campus location.
The academic rank of such an appointment must be the same as the candidate’s present professional rank in the NU-System (e.g., Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor). Courtesy appointments are non-tenure-track and do not include compensation or benefits.
