Manuscript Review Process

Faculty are encouraged to have manuscripts reviewed by their colleagues prior to submitting them to refereed or other publications.

Manuscripts and other works submitted as extension publications must follow the following review procedure:

  1. Submit article along with Movement of Copy form with manuscript to the Extension Administrative Assistant.
  2. The CYAF Extension Administrative Assistant will send the manuscript to one department faculty and two Extension educators for review. Two weeks is allotted for review.
  3. Comments & suggestions from reviewers will be sent to the author.
  4. After final revisions are made, the final manuscript copy along should be submitted to the CYAF Extension Administrative Assistant.
  5. The movement of copy will be signed by Department Chair.
  6. The CYAF Extension Administrative Assistant will submit manuscript and movement of copy to Extension.
  7. Extension will sign the movement of copy and forward it for final editing and publishing.
