CYAF Ambassador Scholarship for study abroad students

Ambassador scholarship available for CYAF study abroad students

01 Feb 2018

A CYAF Ambassador Scholarship is available for students who are going on a study abroad trip between September 2017 and June 2018.

The CYAF Ambassador Scholarship is designed to encourage CYAF student participation in CYAF sponsored short term study abroad by reducing the financial barriers to participation. This is a scholarship of up to $1000*. The scholarship includes the opportunity to be an ambassador and advocate for the study abroad program. This includes the student taking an active role in encouraging study abroad by talking about their experiences in classes and in other interactions with students, possible formal presentations, and helping with visiting international visitors.

To be eligible, a student must be a declared CYAF major in good standing in an undergraduate or graduate program, have at least one semester of coursework remaining after the study abroad concludes prior to graduation, have been accepted to and made the first payment toward a CYAF-sponsored study abroad, have not received a CYAF Ambassador Scholarship before, and be recommended for the scholarship by the CYAF faculty member(s) teaching/leading the study abroad trip.

Students must submit a written request to Dr. Richard Bischoff, the Department Chair, for consideration. For more information, click here.
