Hong awarded CEHS professorship

Soo-Young Hong, associate professor in the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies, was recently awarded the Alan T. Seagren Associate Professorship in Education, which honors an associate professor doing exceptional work in the field of education. This professorship can be held for up to three years and provides support to the faculty member as they work toward promotion and tenure.

Hong supervises student research in child development and early childhood education and focuses her research in childhood professional development in science education, inclusive education, and early childhood interventions and their effects on how children develop and learn. Hong has been at the University of Nebraska since 2009.
