Ph.D., terminal degree, or nominee meets the requirements for Professor of
Practice;
Experience and evidence of sustained productivity that demonstrates a high level
of scientific ability and/or knowledge of the profession (e.g., publications or
development of products);
Teaching, research or extension expertise in an area that is emphasized in the unit
and contributes to at least one aspect of the unit’s mission;
Interest in university objectives and in supporting the college (CEHS) and unit
mission and goals;
Demonstrated objectivity and a willingness to be open in interacting with faculty
and students;
Interest in helping students achieve educational objectives of the unit; and
Evidence that the nominee would use their Courtesy Appointment status with
discretion and represent the unit and University in a professional manner.
