Since the specific deadline dates change from semester to semester and from year to year, it will be necessary for you to check dates in the Office of Graduate Studies. Check to see if you are on track to graduate in December, May, or August. In many ways the submission of an electronic dissertation is the same as submission of a "hard copy" dissertation. The principal differences are that you won‘t need to have the Doctoral Degree Assistant in Graduate Studies make any preliminary approvals of the ETD, and you won‘t need to pay binding fees. It is important that the Doctoral Degree Assistant preview your title page and abstract(s), as they must be in appropriate form for UMI.
