Three CEHS faculty receive Women of Courage awards

Three faculty members in the College of Education and Human Services will be honored by the the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Women’s Center with 2023 Women of Courage, Character and Commitment Awards. 

  • Dena Abbott, assistant professor, Educational Psychology
  • Crystal Garcia, assistant professor, Educational Administration
  • Heather Hruskoci, assistant professor of practice, Educational Psychology 

The annual award recognizes women from the campus and Lincoln communities who have made positive impacts through professional, personal, mentoring or peer relationships. In total, 26 students, faculty and staff will be honored during the Women’s History Month Celebration happening on March 10 at the Lied Center Commons.

Individuals wishing to attend the event should request a free ticket prior to the March 2 deadline.
